Srinagar, April 28: Traffic has been restored on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway (NH44) after it remained closed for the past twenty-four hours due to repairs and road widening at several locations in Ramban district. The closure followed cloudbursts in the Ramban area, which triggered massive landslides, resulting in the deaths of three people and damage to hundreds of houses.
Confirming the restoration, an official said, “Traffic on NH44 has been restored after being closed for 24 hours for repairs and widening at several places in Ramban district. Traffic from Udhampur has been allowed to move.”
