Kathua : The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO), in association with the SPIU– Grant Thornton Bharat LLP and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Kathua, successfully organized a District Level Awareness Workshop Friday at SICOP Conference hall Kathua under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
The workshop aimed to sensitize and inform Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the district about the various support mechanisms, reforms, and assistance available under the RAMP program for enhancing the competitiveness, access to finance and capacity building of MSMEs in Jammu and Kashmir.
The event was graced by Suryavanshi, Functional Manager, DIC Kathua, who highlighted the importance of this initiative in fostering industrial development in the region and encouraging more MSMEs to avail benefits under the RAMP scheme. Other speakers also addressed the gathering and shared valuable insights regarding MSME credit access and institutional support.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 50 MSME stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, industry representatives, implementing agencies, and officials from various departments involved in MSME development. Interactive sessions were conducted to spread awareness on key components of the RAMP scheme.
Representatives from SPIU – GT provided an in-depth presentation on the Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) and Implementation of RAMP scheme being implemented in J&K under RAMP, with a focus on priority interventions that address the unique challenges faced by J&K-based MSMEs.
The event also served as a platform for local MSMEs to voice their concerns, seek clarifications, and understand the processes involved in accessing RAMP-linked interventions.
The workshop concluded with a call to action for all stakeholders to work collaboratively in strengthening the MSME ecosystem of the district and ensuring inclusive and sustainable industrial growth.
