DC G’bal reviews arrangements for Kheer Bhawani Mela

Ganderbal: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, chaired a significant meeting Monday here to meticulously review the arrangements for the upcoming annual Kheer Bhawani Mela 2025 at Tulamulla Ganderbal.
At the outset, detailed discussion was held on various crucial aspects like lodging facilities, sanitation measures, barricading, establishment of a joint control room, healthcare provisions, parking arrangements, route planning, signage placement, security, availability of essential commodities, and uninterrupted power and water supplies, among other allied arrangements, essential for the smooth conduct of the event.
DC emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among the concerned departments to ensure the successful conduct of the Mela.
Directives were issued to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, adequate transport facilities, robust security measures, provision of fire tenders, medical facilities, and sanitation in and around the temple premises.
The Municipal Council Ganderbal was specifically tasked with ensuring proper sanitation along the approach road to the temple, along with the installation of dustbins at strategic locations. The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) was directed to ensure the availability of all essential commodities, including kerosene and LPG.
Furthermore, instructions were given to the officers to ensure that devotees are provided with requisite facilities, with meticulous attention to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Additionally, the Executive Engineer I&FC was directed to undertake dredging and de-weeding of Tulamulla Nallah before the commencement of the Mela.
R&B department was tasked with initiating macadamization work on all roads patches leading to the Kheerbawani Temple.
The Traffic department was urged to prepare a comprehensive traffic plan in consultation with police and Tehsildar to ensure smooth traffic flow on all routes leading to Tulamulla.
While interacting with the officers, DC said that the district administration is committed to ensure a safe, convenient, and spiritually enriching experience for all devotees participating in the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela.
The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmad; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; CPO, CMO, Executive Engineers of R&B, I&FC, and other officers.
