Srinagar: A devastating fire broke out at Masjid Shareef in Batpora area of Zukura on Sunday, engulfing the upper portion of the religious structure.
An official told news agency JKNS, “The fire erupted inside the Masjid Shareef and quickly spread to its upper section. Fire & Emergency Services, along with locals, launched a prompt response to control the blaze.”
We are trying best to control the blaze, official said adding that no casualties were reported in the inciden so far. “The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained,” the official said.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken, further investigation started. (JKNS)
