DIGs, SSPs Among 50 Top Police Officials Transferred

Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday ordered the transfer and posting of 50 IPS and JKPS officers, including several DIGs and SSPs, in a move aimed at streamlining policing operations across the Union Territory. According to an order issued by Jammu & Kashmir Home Department following transfers have been ordered:
Sheikh Junaid Mehmood has been transferred and posted as DIG IR Kashmir, and Sarah Rizvi has been posted DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range. Rayees Mohammad Bhat who was earlier DIG Udhampur-Reasi, has now been posted DIG CID Kashmir, a key position in CID Kashmir wing. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy is replacing Imtiyaz Hussain Mir as SSP Srinagar . Ajaz Ahmad Bhat has been posted SSP Traffic City Srinagar, a key role in managing the city’s complex traffic network. The CID Kashmir wing is witnessing a major shuffle, with Peerzada Naveed posted as SSP SB CID Kashmir, and Amit Gupta appointed as SSP HQ CID.
Other important changes include Tanushree IPS who has been shifted as SP SIA Kashmir and posted at SIA Headquarters. Bisma Qazi has been posted Commandant 2nd Woman Battalion JKAP. Rohit Baskotra who was handling Traffic on the National Highway, has been posted SSP Special Security Group.
The reshuffle also led filling of vacant posts in training, armed battalions, and liaison assignments. Ramesh Kumar Angral has been appointed Director Home Guards Kashmir, while Tahir Sajad Bhat has been posted Additional Director State Investigation Agency (SIA).
