Mission YUVA: 3-day Technical Training for SBDU, BHU members begins at Jammu

Jammu: The Labour and Employment Department of Jammu and Kashmir Monday launched a three-day technical training program for Small Business Development Units (SBDU) and Business Help Desk Units (BHU) in the Jammu division here at Udyog Bhawan.
Administrative Secretary Labour and Employment department Rajeev Ranjan was the chief guest at the program.
In his keynote address, he emphasized the role of SBDUs and BHDs, motivating them to have a positive approach to deliver maximum results in Mission YUVA.
This training program aims to enhance the capabilities of business development units, providing valuable insights into the government’s mission of fostering entrepreneurship across the region. A total of 266 participants from SBDU and BHU units at the district and sub-division level are attending the program.
Director Employment and Mission Director for Mission Yuva, Shahzad Alam in his inaugural speech, emphasized the importance of understanding the government’s goals in launching the scheme. He encouraged participants to make the most of the training to bring these goals to fruition.
Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Mission Youth/YUVA Dr Murtaza Rashid gave a detailed overview of the program emphasizing on the four strategic pillars, vision and outcomes of the program through four interventions of Ecosystem creation, capital, capacity building and connectivity.
Mission Yuva is a flagship program of the Jammu and Kashmir government, designed to create 137,000 entrepreneurial units, generating employment for 4,25,000 individuals across the region over the period of 5 years. The program envisions establishing Jammu & Kashmir as a thriving hub of enterprises and holistic employment by fostering entrepreneurship culture and unlocking its inherent potential.
The training program includes- an in-depth overview of Mission Yuva Scheme: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the scheme’s objectives, benefits, and implementation strategies.
– Yuva Portal and App Guidance: Experts will provide hands-on training on using the Yuva portal and app, ensuring participants can effectively utilize these tools.
– Preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPR): Participants will learn the essential skills required to prepare DPRs, a critical component of the Mission Yuva initiative.
Credit Facilitation: Sessions will focus on credit facilitation, enabling participants to understand the process of accessing credit for entrepreneurial ventures.
Experts from renowned institutions, including NABARD, J&K Bank, Skill Development, OSD, and GDI partners, are leading the sessions, providing valuable insights to the participants.
The training aims to equip SBDU and BHU members with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the Mission Yuva initiative successfully. This will ensure Jammu and Kashmir sees increased entrepreneurship and employment opportunities in the coming years.
