Overloaded Vehicle seized at Bhadarwah,FIR filed for endangering human lives

Jammu : Continuing the drive against Motor Vehicle Act violation, the Traffic Police National Highway, under the supervision of SSP NHW Rohit Baskotra, registered a FIR for overloading and endangering the human lives at Bhadarwah Sector.
Traffic Police team of Traffic Sub-Division Doda-Kishtwar led by ASI Shafid Ahmed SO (T) Bhadarwah, under the supervision of Dy SP (T) Doda-Kishtwar and SSP (T) NHW Ramban seized a Vehicle (Mini Bus) bearing registration No:-JK06B/6437 during a routine inspection at Bhadarwah Sector on Friday.
During Traffic checking, it was found that the vehicle was overloaded with 15 excess Passengers against the seating capacity of 25, as per R.C and hence endangering human lives.
A case FIR No. 35/2025 U/S 281/125 BNS stands registered at Police Station Bhadarwah. The Vehicle has been seized on the spot and further investigation of the case is going on. This was the 3rd consecutive FIR filed against overloading amid the special drive launched by the Traffic Police, NHW. Besides this, regular action is being taken against visible offences especially use of electronic devices, not wearing the seat belt by Traffic violators, not wearing crash helmets and underage driving.
While sharing the details, SSP Traffic Rohit Baskotra said that stringent action is being taken against MV Act Violators amid a sustained drive launched by Traffic Police NHW.
“Traffic Police have published a detailed advisory for all types of commuters travelling on NHW in which parents were also advised not to send their wards to school in private vehicles being used for commercial purpose as it is in contravention to law and jeopardizes safety of the students” SSP Traffic said.
For any Traffic challan related query people have been requested to contact Grievance Cell specially constituted to address grievances and guide the people. “In case violators have got their challan disposed they don’t need to come to Ramban rather they can deposit their GR in with concerned DySP Traffic ( Traffic staff) for its removal on M-Parivahan site,” he added.
He appealed commuters to follow Traffic rules and join hands to make the roads safe for all types of Users right from pedestrians to vehicle owners. “People should come forward to complain against visible traffic violations on Traffic helpline numbers:-9419993745-9906023617, Toll Free Number-18001807043, TCU-8491928625,” he maintained.
