The participants were made aware about the child rights, including the right to education, protection from abuse and exploitation, healthcare access, and the right to express opinions. SANKALP:HEW team emphasized on the importance of ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children to grow and thrive.
A major highlight of the session was information about the Child Helpline 1098, a 24/7 toll-free emergency helpline dedicated to assisting children in distress. The students were encouraged to use the helpline in situations of abuse, child labor, trafficking, or neglect.
Besides, school bags and stationery were also distributed among the girl students, reinforcing the department’s commitment to supporting education and empowerment.
