Cluster University of Jammu and Desh Bhagat University Sign MoU

Jammu : Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ), J&K, and Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Punjab, have officially entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering academic excellence, research collaboration, and professional growth for students and faculty members.
The MoU was formally signed by Ankur Mahajan, Registrar of CLUJ, and the Registrar of DBU in the presence of senior officials and academic leaders from both institutions. Dr. K.S. Chandrasekar, Vice-Chancellor of CLUJ, provided a comprehensive presentation outlining the university’s vision and initiatives, while Pooja, Director of Placement at DBU, presented an overview of DBU’s academic and industry engagement programs. The primary objectives of this partnership include the organization of job fairs, industry-specific workshops, internship and placement drives, collaborative research projects, and academic
exchange programs. As part of this initiative, both universities will jointly host a job fair in April 2025 at CLUJ, creating valuable opportunities for students to connect with industry professionals and explore career pathways. The signing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. K.S. Chandrasekar
(Vice-Chancellor, CLUJ), Ms. Ankur Mahajan (Registrar, CLUJ), Deans, Principals of constituent colleges, and FA/CAO. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. D.S. Manhas, Director of the Placement Cell at CLUJ. On the occasion Prof. (Dr.) K.S. Chandrasekar, Vice-Chancellor, CLUJ added that this collaboration signifies a significant step toward strengthening industry-academia linkages and enhancing the employability prospects of students from both institutions. Through this MoU,
CLUJ and DBU reaffirm their commitment to academic innovation, skill development, and research excellence, paving the way for a brighter future for their students and faculty.
