Bandipore: Four residential houses were gutted completely in a devastating fire incident in Sumbal town of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district this morning.
Reports said that due to short circuit, flames appeared from the house of one Abdul Majid Hajan, at Hajam Mohalla, Tengapora Sumbal.
Before the arrival of fire tenders, the fire engulfed the three more houses belonging to Reyaz Ahmed Hajam, Abdul Gani Hajam and Ghulam Rasool Hajam.
Eyewitnesses said that all the four residential houses were completely destroyed in the fire incident.
“Property worth lakhs damaged in the fire. We have registered a case and investigation has been taken up,” said a police official.
Meanwhile, the locals have appealed District Administration to provide necessary help to the affected families.
