Police solves theft case in Kulgam; five accused held, stolen property recovered

Kulgam —Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday have solved a theft case and recovered a stolen property besides, apprehended the accused persons involved in the commission of crime.

Police Station Kund received a written complaint from Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Churat Qazigund, stating therein that during the night intervening between 04/05-03-2025 some unknown persons have stolen his Popular trees dumped on roadside at waltengo, Kund.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 05/2025 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Kund and investigation was initiated.

The investigation team led by SHO Police Station Kund with strenuous efforts and by using all available means tracked down the stolen property, and was recovered subsequently.

During the operation, the Police apprehended five accused, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Deeded, Mohd Hanif Deeded, Maneer Ahmad Deeded sons of Rajwali Deeded residents of Nigeenpora Nad, Rajesh Kumar son of Parveen Kumar resident of Hameerpora Himachal and Basharat Ahmad Tenda son of Mohd Shafi Tenda resident of Waltengo Nad.

Investigation is ongoing to determine whether additional individuals were involved in the theft.
