Srinagar: As Kashmir observed its sixth day of fasting and the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, devotees in large numbers gathered at mosques and shrines to offer prayers.
Reports said that thousands of people offered congregational prayers at Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid and Dargah Hazratbal shrine.
At Dargah Hazratbal Srinagar, a large number of devotees also participated in the prayers, offering supplications in a spiritually charged atmosphere. “Worshippers expressed gratitude for witnessing another Ramadan and prayed for peace and prosperity in the region.”
Authorities had made elaborate arrangements at Jamia Masjid and Hazratbal Shrine, along with other major mosques and shrines, to facilitate the smooth conduct of prayers. Moreover, traffic management and security measures were in place to handle the large gatherings, ensuring that devotees could pray without any inconvenience.
