Police observes ‘Thana Diwas’ in Kulgam, Handwara, SSP Kulgam chairs Thana Diwas meet at Qazigund

Srinagar : Police organized ‘Thana Diwas’ functions in various police establishments across valley including district Kulgam and Handwara. The meetings were chaired by respective supervisory & jurisdictional Police officers. The meetings were attended by respectable citizens, civil societies of concerned areas, including members of Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars, Traders Federation and Transporters etc.
In these meetings, participants highlighted various issues of public importance. During these events, all the grievances were heard and were segregated on the basis of area of action and jurisdiction. The attendees were assured that all the grievances pertaining to Police department will be dealt as per the law and remaining grievances lying outside the domain of Police department will be taken up with the concerned authorities under laid down procedure. Moreover, the officers explained the nuances of the new laws, clarifying their implications and stressing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for maintaining societal order and provided clarifications on the legal provisions that ensure justice for the victims of crime and the society at large.
