IIM Jammu Hosts Educational Visit for Birla Open Minds Int’l School, PM Shri Govt. Girls High School, Katra

Jammu : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under
the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, organized an educational visit for students and teachers from Birla Open Minds International School and PM Shri Govt. Girls High School, Katra, at its state-of-the-art Jagti Campus. A total of 35 students from Class 8, accompanied by three teachers from Birla Open Minds, and 25 Class 9 students along with eight teachers from Govt. Girls High School, Katra, participated in the immersive campus tour.
The visit began with an introduction to the institute at the Grand Reception Area, followed by an extensive tour covering key landmarks of IIM Jammu, including the iconic Clock Tower, the Courtyard, the renowned Nalanda Library, and the cutting- edge Smart Classrooms. The students also explored the Mandapam Auditorium and the prestigious Vedanta MDP Block, gaining insights into the institute’s academic infrastructure and learning ecosystem. As part of the visit, the students attended an interactive career counselling session,
where they received an overview of future career opportunities, courses offered at IIM Jammu, pathways to securing admission into premier institutes like IIMs and IITs, and key insights into career planning. The session saw enthusiastic
participation, with students actively engaging in discussions and asking insightful questions about their career prospects. The school visit aimed to inspire young minds by exposing them to world-class management education and innovative learning environments. By fostering aspirations for higher education and leadership, IIM Jammu continues to engage with the broader educational community, nurturing future leaders of the country. The
visit was coordinated and executed by PR office, IIM Jammu.
