KU lifts IAPPD National Debate Championship Trophy in Delhi

Srinagar : In a moment of immense pride, the University of Kashmir ( KU) has emerged victorious at the IAPPD National Debate Championship held in Delhi, defeating some of the most prestigious universities across the country.
The KU national debate team, led by Dr. Shahid Ali Khan, Cultural Officer, KU comprised outstanding debaters Syed Noha H. Balkhi and Jazza Bhat, whose eloquence, critical reasoning, and persuasive arguments outshone the competition. Their exceptional performance secured the championship trophy, marking a historic win for the university.
Prof. Nilofer Khan, Vice Chancellor KU while congratulating the team said, “This remarkable achievement reflects the academic strength and debating prowess of our students. I congratulate the team and their mentor, Dr. Shahid Ali Khan, for bringing this national honor to the University of Kashmir. Their success inspires our entire student community to aim higher and excel on national and international platforms.”
Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Registrar KU said, “Winning a national-level debate competition against top institutions is no small feat. Our students have demonstrated exceptional intellectual capacity, confidence, and commitment. This victory is a proud moment for our university and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire team and their mentor.”
Prof. Pervez Ahmed, Dean Students Welfare, KU said, “This championship win showcases the power of knowledge, dialogue, and informed debate. Our students have made us immensely proud with their outstanding performance. Such achievements strengthen the university’s reputation and motivate future generations to strive for excellence.”

Their dedication, hard work, and ability to articulate thoughts with clarity and confidence have led them to this well-deserved victory. This triumph is not just for the team but for the entire university, proving that KU students can compete and win at the highest level.”

Manmohan Sharma, Executive Secretary, IAPPD, New Delhi said. “The University of Kashmir team displayed exceptional debating skills, critical thinking, and confidence that truly set them apart. Their arguments were not only well-researched but also delivered with remarkable conviction. KU’s victory is well deserved, and IAPPD applauds their excellence in intellectual discourse. We look forward to seeing them continue to shine on national and international platforms.”
