New Delhi: Ahead of the anniversary of the Babri masjid demolition, the Centre has asked all the states to remain cautious and ensure peace, so that no incident of communal tension is reported from anywhere in the country.
In a communication, the Union home ministry had told the states and union territories to deploy adequate security forces at the sensitive places and maintain an extra vigil, so that any attempt to disturb peace could be foiled, an official of the ministry said Tuesday. The Babri masjid was demolished on December 6, 1992 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
