Srinagar, Feb 27: Sensing the severity of prevailing weather conditions, Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Friday officially announced extension in winter vacations by six days.
Itoo, as per news agency Kashmir Bulletin, announced that the schools will remain shut up to March 6 and reopen on March 7 for normal functioning.
The announcement has been made in wake of demands by different stakeholders to seek extension as Kashmir reeling under a severe cold wave in backdrop of a major snowfall bout in Valley.
