Doda admin hosts interaction prog on Disaster Management Preparedness

Doda : An interaction and question-answer session on “Advance Preparedness of Natural, Contemporary, and Anthropogenic Disasters” was held on Monday here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex Doda. The program aimed to update officials and stakeholders about disaster management and the response mechanism.
The event was graced by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Ravi Jyee, Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor of International University-School of Medicine (IUSOM) and Chairman of Afro-Eurasian Chamber of Commerce, Education, Development, and Employment (ACCEDE), a registered public charity and an authority on disaster management.
During the session, Dr. Ravi Jyee delivered a detailed presentation on disaster management, emphasizing the importance of maximum participation and public awareness. He urged all stakeholders to proactively work toward strategic planning, infrastructure development, and resource mobilization to ensure an effective disaster response mechanism. He also stressed the launch of mass awareness campaigns to educate the public about disaster preparedness and mitigation measures.
Dr. Ravi Jyee interacted with key officials, discussing strategic planning and preparedness for natural calamities.
Prominent officials who attended the program included ACR Doda Sunil Bhutyal, Chief Medical Officer Doda, Chief Education Officer Doda, Assistant Director FCS & CA, Assistant Director Fire & Emergency Services, and other stakeholders. The interactive session provided an opportunity to discuss emergency response mechanisms, disaster risk reduction strategies, early warning systems, and inter-departmental coordination for effective disaster preparedness.
Speaking on the occasion, ACR Doda Sunil Bhutyal expressed gratitude to Dr. Ravi Jyee for his insightful session and emphasized the critical role of inter-departmental collaboration in disaster management. He highlighted the district administration’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness through training programs, infrastructure development, and proactive planning. He also reassured that all necessary measures will be taken to enhance response capabilities and safeguard the lives and property of the people of Doda.
The event witnessed active participation, with officials engaging in a comprehensive dialogue to enhance community preparedness and ensure swift response measures in case of unforeseen disasters.
