Srinagar : In a bid to revive and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin, is set to host the grand event “Soon Miras, Soon Potkal”. The festival aims to showcase the region’s traditional arts, crafts, and heritage, providing a platform for local artisans and artists.
Among the key attractions of the festival will be Traditional Clothing Day, where participants will don authentic Kashmiri attire and walk through the iconic Polo View Market, bringing the vibrant cultural essence to life. Adding to the grandeur, a Shikara Rally on the picturesque Dal Lake will offer a mesmerizing visual experience.
The main event is scheduled to take place at Kashmir Haat where artisans have already begun displaying their exquisite handicrafts and handmade products. Dr. Mohiuddin expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasizing that it will serve as an educational and cultural experience for the younger generation, helping them connect with Kashmir’s rich history and traditions.
