Jammu: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has nominated Muhammad Sartaj Madni as party’s vice president.
This was disclosed here in a statement by party spokesman.
Madni the former Deputy Speaker had tasted defeated from his rival Congress candidate Muhammad Amin Bhat in 2014 Assembly elections.
He is also the maternal uncle of Chief Minister and party president Mehbooba Mufti.
The party has already nominated Mehbooba Mufti as its President for the consecutive sixth term.
