Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar Police said that a Police party of Police Station Boniyar headed by SHO Police Station Boniyar at a checkpoint established at Bernate, Boniyar intercepted two suspects while travelling on a motorcycle and identified them as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir S/o Ab Ahad R/o Bernate and Nadeem Ahmad Thokar S/o Gh Rasool R/o Kalantra Bala Kreeri. Stating that during search, 14 grams of charas like substances was recovered from the possession of the said who were arrested besides seizing the vehicle used in the commission of crime Police in its statement said that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Boniyar besides initiating further investigation Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society, reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
