76 Bn CRPF organises Shradhanjali Prog to observe 6th anniversary of Pulwama Martyrs at Gangyal Hqr in Jammu

Jammu : The Sixth death anniversary of the Martyrs of Pulwama was observed on Friday as “Shradhanjali Programme” at HQr 76 Bn Preet Nagar (Gangyal) to pay Tributes to soldiers who attained martyrdom in the Pulwama Bomb Blast.
Vezoto Tinyi, Commandant-76 Bn, CRPF, Rajesh Kumar, Second in Command, Jai Ram Prasad, Second in Command, Girish Chandra Singh Sontiyal, Second in Command, Anil Kumar, Asstt Commandant and other Subordinate Officers / Personnel of 76 Bn attended the tribute paying program.
Paying rich tributes, the officers recounted that ‘On 14th February 2019, our 40 Brave soldiers laid down their lives at the altar of Duty when a Vehicle borne suicide bomber hit the CRPF vehicle carrying CRPF personnel in convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar National highway near Lethapora in Pulwama.’
They further recalled that ‘During this cowardly incident, the bus that was blasted was of 76 Bn CRPF, Jammu in which our five brave soldiers attained martyrdom namely Shaheed HC/GD Naseer Ahmed, Shaheed, HC/DVR Jaimal Singh, Shaheed CT/GD Rohtash Lamba, Shaheed CT/GD Sukhjinder, Shaheed CT/ BUG Tilak Raj.’
“Although the Pulwama attack was a major setback for us, it exhibited the cowardice of militants who did not have the courage to face our brave soldiers. Ever since the Pulwama incident, we have neutralized many militants in gun battles in J&K. Our morale has never diminished and we are ever ready to neutralize the militants who shall try to harm our nation or the countrymen,” the Battalion
