DDC B’la Reviews Physical, Financial Progress Under Distt Capex

Baramulla: District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, on Thursday chaired a review meeting at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla, to assess the physical and financial progress of projects under the District Capex Budget 2024-25.
The meeting focused on evaluating fund utilization, project execution, and resolving bottlenecks affecting development works.
During the session, Joint Director Planning Baramulla, Javed Ahmad, delivered a sector-wise presentation detailing financial expenditures, physical targets achieved. The presentation provided key insights into fund allocations, utilization rates and the overall progress of ongoing projects.
DDC Minga Sherpa directed all departments to accelerate project implementation, ensure the optimal use of funds, and uphold quality standards. He emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination and instructed officers to promptly address issues delaying project completion.
Additionally, he directed concerned officials to expedite the clearance of pending bills to prevent financial delays in project execution.
Stressing the need for faster progress in the next two weeks, the DDC instructed all executing agencies to intensify efforts, increase workforce deployment, and ensure that pending targets are met within the stipulated timeframe.
He further directed that regular progress reports be submitted and that any persisting issues be flagged for immediate resolution.
Officers from various departments, including Roads & Buildings, Rural Development, Hydraulic, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Jal Shakti Department, Integrated Child Development Services, Education and others, presented updates on their respective projects. The DDC instructed officers to enhance monitoring mechanisms to maintain transparency, accountability, and efficiency in developmental works.
Concluding the meeting, DDC Minga Sherpa issued clear directions to all concerned departments to ramp up execution efforts over the next two weeks, ensuring visible progress on the ground. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to timely and effective development, ensuring that the benefits of various projects reach the people of Baramulla without delay.
