Sansad Khel Spardha 2025: Sports Activities in full gear in Kishtwar

Kishtwar : The Sansad Khel Spardha 2025 is witnessing an overwhelming response with sports activities in full swing across the District Kishtwar. The month-long sports event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan at Paddar two days ago.
The event is being organized by the District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with District Youth Services & Sports, under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner.
The sports activities will be held from February 11, 2025, to March 8, 2025 featuring contests across a diverse range of sports disciplines, including Volleyball, Kabaddi, Cricket, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Futsal, Table Tennis, Chess, and Carrom.
On the first day, Chess and Carrom (Open Category) competitions were successfully conducted at BVM Paddar, where young players exhibited outstanding skills and sportsmanship. A total of 70 participants—38 girls and 32 boys—competed in these intellectual games, demonstrating strategic acumen and determination.
The second day of the event was particularly significant, with officials from Zone Paddar present to oversee the smooth execution of the competitions.
Athletes have also been competing fiercely in various track and field events, testing their endurance, strength, and agility.
Track events include 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m races, along with relay races. Besides these, field events such as long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus throw have showcased remarkable athletic prowess.
The participants have demonstrated exceptional passion and discipline, leaving the audience enthralled with their performances.
The sport activities are being organized under the close guidance of DYSSO Kishtwar, Jaffer Haider Sheikh.
The Sansad Khel Spardha 2025 is a significant initiative aimed at identifying and promoting grassroots-level sports talent.It offers a valuable platform for young athletes to showcase their potential and compete in a professional setting.
Events like these play a crucial role in fostering a sports culture and promoting fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition among the youth.
