Srinagar : Police in collaboration with The Kashmir Pulse organized a one-day awareness program on Digital Addiction and Cyber Awareness at town hall Pulwama to educate the public especially children about the risks associated with excessive digital engagement and cyber threats.
The session focused on the harmful effects of digital addiction, online safety measures, protection against cyber frauds, social media misuse, and responsible internet usage. Speaking on the occasion, SSP Pulwama MS. PD Nitya-IPS advised the students to adapt safe browsing habits to avoid suspicious websites while surfing the internet and appealed not to share OTPs or bank account details, passwords and also adapt precautions while conducting internet banking and online transactions. Experts also provided valuable insights on maintaining a healthy balance between technology and daily life.
