Srinagar: President Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has condemned killing of a truck driver Waseem Majeed Mir, 35, of Bomai, Sopore and custodial killing of a 25-year-old Makhan Din, aged 25, from Billawar , accused of being an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of militants, stating therein that the truck driver was reportedly travelling from from Srinagar towards Baramulla when security personnel fired towards the moving truck on the suspicion basis.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Hakeem while condemning killing of truck driver Waseem Majeed 35 of Bomai sopore and 25-year-old Makhan of Billawar , has urged the government to ensure zero tolerance towards killing of unarmed civilians .He said killing of innocent human biengs both civilians as well as police personnel was against principles of humanity . He said security forces should ensure that no collateral damage was caused during anti militancy operations. He said security forces is a disciplined force whose duty was the security and safety of its civilian population. The PDF president maintained that killing of innocent civilians during anti militancy operations brings bad name to the security forces adding that there was a dire need to identifying black sheep among security forces.
