Sopore: Police on Monday said that it has arrested three drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police team led by SHO Police Station Panzalla, at a checkpoint established at Hamdania Colony Naidhal Rafiabad intercepted three suspects identified as Aadil Ahmad Lone S/o Mohammad Rajab Lone, Mohammad Shafi Sheikh S/o Ghulam Nabi Sheikh and Sajad Ahmad Lone S/o Mohammad Sadeeq Lone all R/o Nadihal Rafiabad and during their personal search recovered 122 grams of contraband charas like substance from their possession following which all the accused were arrested.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 06/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Panzalla besides initiating further investigations Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society , reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
