Jammu: In a proud and historic moment, Lakhpati Didis associated with the Jammu & Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) have been invited as “prestigious Guests” to witness the 76th Republic Day Parade 2025 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi.
A delegation of nine Lakhpati Didis accompanied by their spouses from both the divisions, will attend this prestigious national event. This honor recognizes their relentless efforts in promoting entrepreneurship, driving economic growth, and creating a positive impact within their communities. By featuring them on this grand stage, their achievements are being showcased at the national level.
Speaking about this achievement, Mission Director JKRLM Dr. Shubhra Sharma described the invitation as a “historic milestone” for the SHGs under the mission. She stated, “This invitation symbolises recognition and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our self-help groups. It is a celebration of their success stories and a testament to their resilience and determination to overcome challenges and break barriers.”
Dr. Sharma further emphasized the significance of this recognition, adding, “This opportunity will not only inspire our SHG members but also serve as an inspiration to countless women across the country. It highlights the transformative impact that women can create when empowered with the right opportunities and support.”
The presence of these SHG members at the Republic Day Parade reflects the progress made in empowering women in Jammu & Kashmir. It serves as a beacon of hope and encouragement for women nationwide to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.
The MD said that the JKRLM is committed to empowering women through initiatives focused on economic independence, skill development, and leadership. This honor bestowed upon the SHG members stands as a testament to the mission’s dedication to fostering inclusive growth and social upliftment.
