DDC Kulgam reviews RDD sector works, asks for developing durable assets

Kulgam : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting of Officers and Officials of Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj (RDD&PR) at Mini-Secretariat here to review the functioning, progress and implementation status of various schemes in the district.
During the meeting, ACD Kulgam Syed Naseer apprised the chair about the progress made under various schemes like MGNREGA Convergence plan and PMAY-G.
The DDC instructed the concerned to expedite the process of works under MGNREGA Convergence plan with different departments so that durable assets can be built in villages.
He urged the officers for better coordination in convergence plan so that targets be achieved well in time.
DDC called for timely completion of the works which are in public interest with judicious utilization of funds, while ensuring quality of work, in order to create durable assets.
The meeting was attended by ACR Mushtaq Rasool, ACP Nazia Hassan, Exen, Rew, CEO, BDOs and other officers and officials.

Flags-off couple from DH Pora on Kartavya Path tour
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Athar Aamir Khan on Thursday flagged off a couple- Rais Ahmad Rather & his spouse for Kartavya Path tour to New Delhi for special guests at Republic Day Celebrations.
During the flag off program, DDC was apprised by the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti DH Pora that the special invitee is the chairman of village Water & Sanitation Committee who belongs to village DH Pora.
DDC while flagging off the tour appreciated the efforts of the committee for making Har Ghar Jal a reality by actively involving in planning & execution of drinking water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission in DH Pora village.
It is worth to mention that Kulgam is the lone district in the entire valley who has achieved this feather.
During the four days tour, logging, boarding & other expenses of guests will be endured by Jal Shakti department under Jal Jeevan Mission govt of India.
