SSB issues 70 selection lists for 500 posts

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) last evening declared 70 selection lists at 133rd meeting of the Board presided over by its Chairman, Simrandeep Singh.
The meeting was attended by the Members of the Board including Vivek Sharma, M S Malik, Rahul Sharma, Shafqat Iqbal, Rachna Sharma, Dr Nirupa Rai, Mohammad Saleem Malik, M A Wani and Nawab Din. Incharge Secretary of Board, Rehana Akhtar Bijli and Under Secretary, Shoaib Naikoo were also present at the meeting.
According to JKSSB spokesman, around 500 selections declared at the latest Board meeting include for the posts of Demonstrators  (Computer/OM & Computer Application/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Engineering/Automobile Engineering/Civil Engineering/Electrical Engineering) in Technical Education Department; Drill Operator/Assistant in Industries and Commerce Department; Junior Engineer (Electrical) in Power Development Department; Electronic Data Processing Supervisor and JSA in Planning and Development Department; Sericulture Assistant, Field Assistant, Seed Examiner, Sr Horticulture Technician in Agriculture Production Department; Industrial Promotion Officer, Block Investigator, Assistant Extension Officer in Industries and Commerce Department; Junior Physiotherapist in Health and Family welfare Department; Dawasaaz in ISM Department; Junior Assistant in Estates and General Administration Department.
He said the much awaited and long pending results of Account Assistants of Finance department issued vide Advertisement Notification No: 07 of 2010 in respect of Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla, Reasi, Poonch and Ganderbal districts were also declared. These posts were held up due to a Service Writ Petition which finally got decided in February 2017.
He said the selections have also been made against the vacancies notified vide Advertisement No: 01/06 of 2013; Advertisement No: 03 of 2012; Advertisement No: 01 of 2011; Advertisement No: 05/06/03 of 2015; Advertisement No: 03 of 2012 and Advertisement No: 01/02 of 2014.
Pertinently, JKSSB has noticeably fast-paced the selections process since the present Chairman assumed office and the Board has issued around 200 selection lists since August 2017. The educated unemployed youth have hailed the expeditious selections being made by the Board of late.
