Cooperative Society Ang organizes Comprehensive Awareness prog at Achabal

Anantnag : The Department of Cooperative, in collaboration with various line departments organized a comprehensive awareness programme on Saturday at the Conference Hall of the Municipal Building Achabal.
The primary objective of the programme was to educate and sensitize the public about the schemes, services, and initiatives offered by the Cooperative Department and associated line departments.
The event witnessed active participation from senior officials, departmental representatives and members of cooperative societies besides local residents and community leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, speakers emphasized the importance of cooperative societies in promoting sustainable development and empowering communities, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
Experts from the Cooperative Department and associated line departments delivered detailed presentations on various government schemes aimed at enhancing self-reliance, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion. The participants were briefed on the role of cooperative societies in providing affordable credit, marketing agricultural produce, and supporting small-scale industries.
Special emphasis was placed on schemes tailored for farmers, artisans, women entrepreneurs, and youth.
An interactive session was also held to address queries raised by the participants. Officials provided detailed explanations, ensuring clarity and encouraging active dialogue among attendees.
Members of the local community shared their experiences and success stories, highlighting the transformative impact of cooperative societies on their livelihoods.
The awareness programme successfully highlighted the pivotal role of cooperative societies in fostering economic development, reducing unemployment and building a self-reliant community.
The Cooperative Department, along with its partners, reiterated its commitment to expanding the reach of cooperative movements and ensuring equitable growth across all sections of society.
