DC Kishtwar reviews arrangements for Republic Day Celebration

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Friday chaired a meeting of line departments and other stakeholders in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to discuss the arrangements for the Republic Day 2025 celebration.
It was informed that the main function would be held at Chowgan Kishtwar/Mini Secretariat DC Office Complex subject to weather conditions, while the local administration would organize celebrations at the Sub-Division, Block and Tehsil levels.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the district heads of the departments to ensure their presence, along with their subordinate officers and officials, at the Republic Day functions at the district headquarters, as well as at SDM, Tehsil, and Block levels.
Arrangements for flag unfurling, the march-past, cultural programs, seating, stage setup, venue preparation, and refreshments for the Republic Day celebration were discussed in detail.
It was also informed that the day would commence with the playing of Shehnai Vadan.
Additionally, the Police Authorities were directed to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
Concerned departments were instructed to make adequate provisions for water and power supply, medical facilities, sanitation, transport, traffic regulation, illumination of government buildings, deployment of fire tenders, seating arrangements, and the distribution of invitations.
The Deputy Commissioner assigned specific responsibilities to different departments and constituted several committees to monitor the arrangements.
Senior officers of the civil and police administration, along with other stakeholders, gave valuable suggestions to ensure the Republic Day celebration a grand success in the district.
The meeting was attended by SSP Kishtwar Javed Iqbal; ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal; PO ICDS Rishi Kumar Sharma; ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone; ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh; DIO Kishtwar Dr. Kuldeep Kumar; Tehsildar Kishtwar Nirbhay Sharma; AD FCS&CA Kishtwar Shafqat Ali Keen; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, district officers, along with officers of CRPF/CISF and representatives of various departments, educational institutions and Power Projects.
