Srinagar: In a focused effort to curb reckless driving, the Traffic Police in Srinagar, led by SSP Muzaffar Shah, seized two vehicles involved in dangerous racing on the city’s roads. The move highlights increasing concerns about unsafe driving behavior, especially among the youth.
SSP Shah, who has previously spoken about the consequences of reckless driving, referred to a fatal accident at Tengpora Bypass, which occurred due to a race between two Thar Jeeps. He once again stressed the vital role of parents in preventing underage driving and urged them to take responsibility for educating their children on road safety. The Traffic Police have been taking firm action, including seizing over 1000 two-wheelers in recent operations aimed at reducing accidents and enforcing discipline on the roads. Public awareness campaigns are also being conducted to inform students, parents, and the wider community about safe driving practices.
Shah’s efforts in tackling traffic violations have garnered significant praise, with his proactive approach in personally overseeing these initiatives being particularly noteworthy. His commitment to ensuring public safety continues to positively impact the region.
