Mission YUVA: Baseline survey to identify aspiring entrepreneurs begins in B’pora

DC encourages youth to take advantage of Mission YUVA for Business Support & Growth

Bandipora: A vibrant launch ceremony of Mission YUVA was held on Tuesday at the Mini Secretariat, Bandipora, marking a significant step towards making Jammu and Kashmir a hub of enterprise creation and employment generation.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri stressed the importance of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) strategies to channelize the mission effectively.
Highlighting the survey component of Mission YUVA, the DC underlined its basic objective of identifying potential entrepreneurs and urged the enumerators to approach the task with dedication. He urged Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Bandipora to accelerate the process while ensuring data accuracy.
Speaking at the event, the DC urged senior officials, including ADC, ALC, and AD Employment, to closely monitor the process and ensure assignments are carried out as per job profiles without any changes or swaps.
Speaking on the occasion, Nodal Officer, Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) highlighted the importance of productive interaction between enumerators and aspiring entrepreneurs. She emphasized the need to focus on the target audience to serve them effectively.
She outlined the objectives of Mission YUVA, including enterprise creation, identification of potential entrepreneurs, and understanding their needs. She stated that Mission YUVA, being an umbrella project, is built on the foundation of 4C’s including Culture, Capital, Capacity and Connectivity, which will guide its execution and success.
During the event, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl reminded the enumerators that their work should be commendable, as it directly impacts the program’s success and emphasized corrective measures should be taken promptly to reduce delays, and additional deployments have been arranged considering the region’s challenging terrain and topography.
Joint Director Employment and Nodal Officer for Bandipora District stressed the need for dedication and persistence from the enumerators and supervisors. She acknowledged the challenges faced at the grassroots level but urged the teams to tackle them with determination to ensure the program’s success.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to make Mission YUVA a transformative initiative for the district, fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and creating sustainable employment opportunities.
Among others, the event was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, BDOs, Supervisors, Enumerators and other concerned officials.
