Srinagar: Police alongwith security forces on Wednesday arrested four militant associates of Jaish-e- Muhammad (JeM) militant outfit in Tral area.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the arrested militant associates have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Naik S/o Farooq Ahmad Naik R/o Tral Payeen, Umar Nazir Sheikh S/o Nazir Ahmad Sheikh R/o Kuchmulla, Inayat Firdoos Rather S/o Firdoos Ahmad Rather R/o Tral Payeen and Salman Nazir Lone S/o Nazir Ahmad Lone R/o Kounserbal Tral. Police in its statement further said that incriminating materials have also been recovered from the possession of the said militant associates who it said have been arrested for being involved in providing logistics support and transportation of arms and ammunition to the active militants of JeM militant outfit in Tral and Awantipora areas. In the concluding para of its said Police said that a case under FIR No.134/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tral besides initiating further investigations.
