Jammu : The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department in Ganderbal has assured the public that the newly constructed Wayil Bridge is structurally safe, despite concerns raised after minor cracks were detected on its approach road.
Officials clarified that these cracks pose no immediate threat to the bridge’s integrity. A team from the R&B Division Ganderbal, led by Executive Engineer Tatheer Ahmad and Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), conducted an early morning inspection of the site on Monday to assess the situation. Speaking to reporters, Executive Engineer Tatheer Ahmad stated, “The department is closely monitoring the situation and is already carrying out repairs to address the cracks. The bridge itself remains secure, and traffic can continue to flow normally. There is no reason for alarm.” The R&B Department emphasized their commitment to public safety, urging residents and commuters to promptly report any further issues or concerns
