Srinagar: Paras Health Srinagar has announced a series of women-focused healthcare initiatives and inaugural offers to celebrate the New Year. Dedicated to raising awareness and improving access to essential health services, these initiatives aim to promote women’s health, particularly in bone & joints – orthopedics, cancer screening and preventive care.

As part of the campaign, Paras Health is offering complimentary mammogram screenings for women aged 40 and above or those with symptoms, and free DEXA scan for bone health (men & women). These inaugural offers are available from 1st January 2025 to 15th January 2025, showcasing the hospital’s commitment to affordable, high-quality healthcare.

In addition, Paras Health has launched a Knee Clinic to address common symptoms such as knee pain, stiffness, swelling and osteoarthritis. Women aged 45 and above can benefit from free consultations with orthopedic specialists and an initial free physiotherapy session. To support those with severe knee pain, the hospital is offering a free X-ray of Knee and 30% discount on MRI and DEXA scans for prescribed cases till 30th Jan.

“Women’s health is often overlooked, yet it forms the backbone of a healthy society,” said Dr. Gautam Das, Zonal Director at Paras Health Srinagar. “Through this initiative, we aim to empower women by making essential health services more accessible and affordable. From preventive screenings like mammograms and DEXA scans to specialized consultations for joint and knee health, our focus is to ensure women can prioritize their well-being without financial constraints. This is not just about treating symptoms but about fostering a culture of proactive health awareness among women and their families. Together, we can take meaningful steps towards a healthier future for women in the valley.”He said.
Paras Health Srinagar has also highlighted its advancements in radiology, with state-of-the-art mammogram and DEXA scan facilities now available under one roof. These technologies are essential for early detection of breast cancer and assessing bone health, respectively.

The hospital has set affordable bone health check packages starting as low as at just INR 899, encouraging everyone and especially senior citizens to prioritize their bone & knee health this winter.

Paras Health Srinagar has successfully performed more than 250 orthopedic and spine surgeries this year, including joint replacements, and continues to lead in trauma care. With these new initiatives, the hospital reaffirms its dedication to advancing healthcare in the valley and creating a healthier, more informed community.
