Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Kulgam

Srinagar : Police in Kulgam on Friday facilitates PCPG meetings at Police Station Kulgam, DH Pora, Yaripora, Kund, Police Post Frisal, Navyug Tunnel and Neehama. These meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by respectable citizens including Market associations, Auqaf Bodies, Chowkidars, Numberdars, youth and other representatives of Sangus, Kaharwath, Town Kulgam, Kanjikullah, Yaripora, DH Pora, Kraloo, Kanchloo, Kund, Neehama and other adjacent villages.
Speaking on this occasion, participants appreciated the process of organising such events by J&K Police in which an opportunity is being provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society like drug abuse, domestic violence, and speedy justice and seeks their redressal for the betterment of all. The officers present at the meetings gave a patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues which are pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action, besides issues related to Police would be resolved on priority.
Addressing the participants, chairing officers urged upon strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in the areas. The officers have also requested upon providing the information to Police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.
