Poonch : District Development Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal reviewed the functioning of the Education Department at a meeting of the concerned officers, here on Tuesday.
The meeting covered all crucial aspects including staff strength, school infrastructure, vocational education initiatives, the management of seasonal centers, Vocational Centres, expenditure details etc.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for addressing staff shortage and instructed the Chief Education Officer to meet the requirement of teachers in all Educational Institutions.
The implementation and achievements under important educational programs such as PM SHRI Schools, AAYA, PM POSHAN, and SAMAGRA were thoroughly reviewed, with a focus on expenditure and operational efficiency. The Deputy Commissioner urged education officials to accelerate the completion of developmental projects in the school education sector.
To enhance accountability, he instructed all Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) to closely monitor schools in their respective areas, ensuring the quality of mid-day meals and other facilities provided to students.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated his dedication to enhancing the educational landscape in Poonch, ensuring that all initiatives align with the broader goals of educational excellence and equity.
