DDC B’la chairs DLC meeting, reviews implementation of PMJVK scheme

Baramulla: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, chaired a District Level Committee (DLC) meeting on Saturday to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) scheme in the district.
The meeting focused on presenting and reviewing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for various initiatives aimed at the socio-economic development of minority communities.
During the meeting, key directives were issued to ensure the timely initiation and effective implementation of essential projects. The DDC emphasized the need for efficiency and coordination among the concerned departments for the successful execution of these initiatives.
He directed the concerned officials to proceed with the construction of 52 Anganwadi centers, with two centers to be established in each block across the district. This initiative will enhance early childhood care and education facilities, benefiting communities throughout the region.
The Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla was instructed to submit a DPR for the construction of a block for the Advanced Training Facility (ATF) and ANMT College. This infrastructure will improve healthcare training opportunities, addressing the need for skilled professionals in the medical field.
The Chief Education Officer (CEO) was tasked with submitting DPRs for the creation of smart classrooms in middle schools, with three classrooms to be set up in each education Zone. This project will modernize the education system by integrating technology into classrooms, ultimately improving the quality of education.
Minga Sherpa emphasized the importance of timely submission and review of these DPRs, ensuring their approval and smooth implementation. The projects will be reviewed by the District Committee and sent to the State Level Committee for final approval.
Among others Principal GMC Baramulla, (Prof) Dr.Majid Jahangir; Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, SA.Raina; Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, Medical Superintendent Associated Hospital GMC, Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare Officer attended the meeting.
