Shah also inaugurates Hazik Memorial Trust, and Holds Public Darbar in Harnaw Kawcheck
Srinagar : MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, attended crucial meeting at Civil Secretariat in Srinagar, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Surinder Kumar Choudhary. In the meeting key issues related to the Gulmarg constituency were discussed, especially preparations for the winter season.
The MLA raised several concerns, including ensuring the availability of adequate ration, uninterrupted electricity supply, and timely snow clearance on main and link roads of the constituency during winter. The Deputy Chief Minister assured that all issues will be addressed promptly.
Later in the day Shah inaugurated the Hazik Memorial Trust at Hardushoora Kunzer. The trust, named after Hazik Hilal Shah, son of Hilal Ahmad Shah and cousin of the MLA Gulmarg, has been set up to support underprivileged and needy people. Speaking at the event, the MLA said that the trust is aimed to make a positive difference in the lives of the people in need. In the afternoon, the MLA visited Harnaw Kawcheck and held a Public Darbar to hear the problems and concerns of local residents. People raised different issues, and the MLA assured them of full support to resolve their grievances. During the visit, he also inspected the ongoing work on Shah Kull, an important irrigation canal that will benefit vast agricultural fields and urged timely completion of the project. The project, costing ₹5.00 crores, is expected to solve irrigation problems for local farmers. He was accompanied by SDM Gulmarg. Shah said, “Our focus is on solving the problems of the people and ensuring development in every corner of Gulmarg constituency.
