DC B’gam reviews works progress of Sheikh-ul-Alam Skill Centre, Old DC Office, PFC & PTC

Budgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing upgradation and construction works at the Sheikh-ul-Alam Centre for Skill development, Old Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Public Facilitation Centre (PFC) and new Public Toilet Complex (PTC) at the DC Office, Budgam.
It is apt to mention that major construction works, renovation and repair work has reached its final stage of finishing works.
The upgradation of the DC office complex will provide improved services and facilities, benefiting both staff and the general public visiting the office.
On the occasion, the DC inspected the Public Facilitation Centre and assessed the infrastructure necessary for facilitating the common public that come in large numbers for their works at the office.
Later, the DC visited Sheikh ul Alam skill development centre and reviewed the ongoing upgradation works of the centre. This centre shall provide for the required space and infrastructure for skill development and capacity building programs for the youth of Budgam.
During the inspection, the DC directed the concerned agencies for completing the work maintaining high standards of quality, as the centre will serve the dual purpose of a public awareness generating space and also as a Skill Development Training Centre.
Additionally, the centre will be equipped with the necessary facilities to conduct skill development programs, aimed at empowering the youth and promoting employment opportunities in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized the significance of infrastructure upgrades for the local community.
He directed the concerned departments to prioritize the use of quality materials and uphold high standards in the execution of all works to ensure durability and long-term benefits for the community.
Besides, ADC Budgam, Mehraj ud Din Shah; CPO, Dy.DEO Budgam, Executive Engineer R&B Budgam, AEE R&B, JE R&B and other concerned officials were also present during the inspection.
