Srinagar : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen on Friday said that targeting only Muslim minority among all minorities is eroding the faith of muslims in the constitution and henceforth the democratic institutions of the country as well. He sought immediate intervention of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister over both the ongoing rows on Waqf Board Bill and new disputes over some centuries old mosques and historical Ajmeer Dargah.
Calling upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to take a serious note of the unnecessary and unwanted surveys ordered by the Courts randomly about the existence and location of centuries old mosques and shrines in the country Hakeem on Friday appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene seriously into the matter and stop this bad trend of hindu-muslim hatred being developed in the country by vested interests. Hakeem said muslims hope an early end to unending tale of unnecessary disputes over the existence and location of mosques under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,adding therein that it seems unending controversy is being hatched to create hindu-muslim hatred by disputing the positions of mosques and shrines across the coutry. Hakeem appealed Prime Minister and the Home Minister to take immediate measures for restoring the faith of .muslims by protecting mosques and shrines across the country and also take on board the Ulemmas of muslim community in general and those of Jammu and Kashmir the only Muslim majority region of the country, in particular for a broader consensus on proposed Waqf Board bill sent to Joint Parliamentary Committee by the Government .
