Jammu/ Nov,24: As a follow up to the visit of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to Gurez on October 31, the Government has ordered cancellation of attachments and deployments of all teachers and masters posted in Gurez and working in other areas with immediate effect.

In addition, the Government has also cancelled the attachments and deployments of teachers and Master of Tulail area, who have been working in Dawar and other plain areas of Gurez Valley, said an official spokesman.

Many deputations during the visit of the Chief Minister on October 31 had complained to her that a number of teachers and masters appointed for Gurez and Tulail areas have either been attached or deployed at places like Bandipora and other places which, they complained, had hampered the quality of education at schools in the area.

Meanwhile, the Academy of Art, Culture & Languages has also ordered the operationalization of its Sub Office at Kathua. The process of refurbishing its office space has also been started to start cultural activities in the district.

This follows a direction from the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti at Kathua during her public outreach programme recently during which several deputations had raised the demand of revival of the Sub Office of J&K Cultural Academy.
