Kathua: To highlight the socio-economic and development profile of the district, District Development Commissioner Kathua Dr. RakeshMinhas released “Village Amenity Directory”, “District at a glance” for the year 2023-24 and “District Statistical Handbook” for the year 2022-23 here at a brief release function organised in his office on Tuesday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ranjit Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Ranjeet Thakur; SDM HiranagarRakesh Kumar; District Statistics and Evaluation Officer SidharthAnand and other staff members of DSEO Office Kathua were present during the release ceremony.
The District Statistics and Evaluation Office is the Nodal Agency for collection, compilation and dissemination of important statistical data in the district. The data contained in the publication will serve as an important tool for the researchers, planners, students and other users in their respective fields.
After releasing the publication, the DDC hailed the efforts put in by the field functionaries involved in collection of data. He stressed on making further improvements in future with the regular updating and wide coverage so that the data shall be used by all stakeholders.
