Budgam : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo on Friday visited the ancient Ragenya Mata Asthapan temple at Raithan, Khansahib and initiated Phase-1 work on beautification & development of this revered ancient temple.
The phase-1 project involves construction of multipurpose Yatri hall, Kitchen facilities, developing approach road, tile pathing of the temple, chain-link fencing of the premises & beautification of temple entrance.
This will ensure improved facilities & infra for the incoming devotees and shall also help in developing the site as a key religious tourist destination for the Khansahib region of Budgam, aiding the locals with increased livelihood opportunities.
During the visit, DC reiterated commitment of the District administration to ensure holistic development of the district with focused planning to develop infrastructure & facilities for people across all faiths.
DDC member Khansahib, CPO Budgam, SDM Khansahib, Tehsildar Khansahib, BDO Khansahib, Executive Engineer RDD, and other concerned officials were accompanying DC.
Deputy Commissioner of Shopian Visits Gurudwara Singh Sabha Panzer to Celebrate Gurpurab Shopian, November 15: Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, the Deputy Commissioner of Shopian, visited the Panzer Gurudwara Singh Sabha on Friday to convey his greetings to the Sikh community in celebration of the Gurpurab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
This visit was intended to extend greetings to Sikh community and promote a spirit of inclusivity. During the event, prayers were conducted for peace, prosperity, and the spiritual well-being of people. Local residents and youth raised important issues requiring attention, such as road development and access to employment generation schemes.
On the occasion, DC assured them that all their genuine issues shall be addressed in a time-bound manner.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by ADDC Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, ADC Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, CPO Rafiq Ahmad, DIO Showkat Hussain Ganie, Tehsildar Keegam Fareed Ahmad, and other officials during this visit.
