DDC Chairperson Evaluates Progress of District Capex Budget in G’bal

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 12: The Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq, held a review meeting today at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat to evaluate the advancement of development projects under the District Capex Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25.
At the outset, the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) provided a comprehensive report detailing the accomplishments achieved through various welfare schemes and budget allocations, utilizing a PowerPoint presentation.
The DDC Chairperson assessed the district’s physical and financial progress in relation to the District Development Plan and Capex Budget for the year, scrutinizing each sector to ensure that developmental objectives are being met.
In the course of reviewing other Union Territory and Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Nuzhat Ishfaq urged officials to enhance their efforts to maximize public benefits, emphasizing the necessity for achieving 100% of both physical and financial targets to meet Ganderbal’s developmental goals.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, praised the proactive involvement of DDC members in the district’s advancement.
He underscored the significance of collaboration between administrative departments and elected representatives, encouraging all officials to work together to achieve meaningful results for the residents of Ganderbal.
He instructed the officials to expedite project timelines and ensure that ongoing projects are completed within the stipulated deadlines to deliver timely benefits to the community. During the meeting, DDC members highlighted critical development priorities, including improvements in healthcare and education infrastructure, new road construction, and enhancements to power infrastructure.
The DDC Chairperson directed the officers to accelerate these initiatives and promptly address the concerns raised by DDC members, ensuring the timely completion of projects.
The meeting was attended by DDC Vice-Chairperson Bilal Ahmad, DDC members, ADDC Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, and various sectoral officers.
