Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr.Farooq Abdullah Saturday released two books namely ‘Talu-e-Noor’ by Dr Ganzanfar Ali and ‘Little Joys’ by young author Anayah Ali Haji at Tagore Hall in Srinagar.
During the event, Dr Farooq Abdullah praised Dr Ganzanfar Ali for his notable work in Urdu literature, especially his translation of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) poetry, calling it a vital contribution to cultural preservation. He urged the people present on the occasion to teach their children Kashmiri language so as to keep the language and heritage alive.
The event was attended by prominent literary figures, including Prof Mirza Mohammad Zaman Azurdah, Prof Shaad Ramzan and Shabir Mujahid, among others. Dr Farooq stressed the importance of spreading teachings of Nund Reshi, whose message revolves around self-discipline and piety, motivating individuals to pursue personal growth and spiritual enlightenment. “His eloquent words have enriched our language with timeless proverbs that are widely recognized for their depth and wisdom. Nund Reshi’s teachings promote unity, compassion, and brotherhood among all people, earning him admiration and respect from various religious communities.” Later in the day Dr Farooq chaired a meeting with the party’s functionaries at Durbagh in Chadoora. Among others, MLA Chare Sharief AR Rather, MLA Chadoora Ali Muhammad Dar, District President Budgam Ghulam NabiBhatwere also present on the occasion.
