Distt. Admin flags-off ‘Run for Unity’ on National Unity Day at Kupwara, Handwara

Kupwara : The District Administration Kupwara on Tuesday organised ‘Run for Unity’ and unity pledge administering ceremony at Kupwara and Handwara to observe the ‘National Unity Day.’
The ‘Run for Unity’, aimed at commemorating the birth anniversary of the visionary leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, commenced from DC Office Kupwara and concluded at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Kupwara embodying the spirit of unity and togetherness that Sardar Patel passionately advocated.
The event saw participation from a diverse array of individuals, officers of District Administration including SSP Kupwara, ADDC Kupwara, ADC Kupwara, ASP Kupwara, ACR, CPO Kupwara, DYSSO and Dy. CEO, Govt employees, students, local residents, and other dignitaries.
This gathering highlighted the importance of community involvement in promoting national values.
At Government Higher secondary School Kupwara, ADC Kupwara, M Rouf Rehman administered the unity pledge to the participants.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the ADC underscored the significance of observing the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. He said the day not only commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, but also re-affirms the inherent strength and resilience of the nation.
Meanwhile, to commemorate ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas,’ Handwara Police in collaboration with Sub District Administration Handwara Tuesday organized ‘Run for Unity’ events at Handwara.
The ‘Run for Unity’ was flagged-off from Chotipora to Environment Hall Handwara by Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara, Aziz Ahmad Rather & Sr. Superintendent of Police PD Handwara, Mir Ifroz.
The run culminated at Environmental Hall Handwara in which more than 200 participants including students from different schools of Sub Division, civil society members, security forces personnel participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
