Udhampur : The Provincial President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and Advisor to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Nasir Aslam Wani on Saturday stated that the J&K government is actively addressing grievances and working towards restitution.
During his interactions with scores of public and individual delegations at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha in Srinagar, Nasir vowed to address the concerns of the visiting delegations from different areas of Kashmir division. The visiting delegations voiced their grievances, which Nasir attentively listened to and promptly assured them that he would direct officials to take necessary action. Nasir emphasized that the government is fully aware of the challenges faced by individuals from various walks of life and is dedicated to working tirelessly to address them.
Nasir also highlighted that the Omar Abdullah-led government is in tune with the aspirations of the public and is committed to actively representing their interests. However, he also pointed out the potential hindrance of having multiple power centers, which he said could impede the efficiency of the elected government. He stressed the importance of granting the elected govt full authority over administrative areas to facilitate quick and effective decision-making. Wani emphasized that restoring full statehood is crucial for the overall progress and development of Jammu and Kashmir. Wani asserted that Government is committed to address the concerns of the people and working towards a brighter future for the region. He urged for unity and streamlined governance to ensure that the needs of the public are met effectively and efficiently. Emphasizing the National Conference’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people, Wani asserted that the residents of Jammu and Kashmir must exercise patience, as it has only been a short time since the formation of the government. “The initial progress has been promising. Every pledge outlined in the party’s manifesto prior to assuming power in Jammu and Kashmir will be upheld. The implementation process is already underway,” he said. He expressed gratitude to the visiting delegations for their well-wishes upon his appointment as the Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, affirming his dedication to utilizing his position to effectively advocate for the public’s aspirations.
